SciTech Students Compete at Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science

The 82nd state meeting of the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science happened at the beginning of this week at Pennsylvania State University. This year, over 2,000 students from all over the state competed. To give you a sense of the caliber of competition, only students that earned 1st place awards from their regional competitions are invited to compete at the state level.

This year, SciTech took 16 students to Penn State. Of the 16 students from SciTech, we had 6 second place awards and 10 first place awards. Of the 1st place awards, four had perfect scores which is very rare.

These results ranked as one of our school’s best performances. In addition to these results, over $100,000 in scholarships were awarded to our junior students from various Penn State schools.

We are very proud of the exceptional work all of our students did! Go Thunder Sharks!
